  • AcupunctureInserting fine needles into specific body points promotes energy flow, balances wellness, reduces inflammation, and provides natural pain relief for overall health and relaxation.
  • ColorpunctureThis technique works by applying specific colors of light onto acupuncture points, meridians, and reflex zones of the body.
  • Cosmetic AcupunctureCosmetic Acupuncture: Using centuries old knowledge of specific acupuncture points, this treatment involves the use tiny acupuncture needles at predetermined points to assist in rejuvenation of the deeper layers below the skin, including muscles, to offer a lifting and rejuvenating effect.
  • MicroneedlingThis treatment uses a handheld device with microneedes to create tiny channels in the skin, promoting natural healing and boosting collagen and elastin production. Combined with herbal based serums and acupuncture, it enhances skin appearance, reduces fine lines, improves texture and helps correct underlying imbalances for a radiant appearance.
  • Red Light & IR (Infrared) TherapyRed Light & IR (Infrared) Therapy is a safe, natural treatment that penetrates the skin to promote healing at a cellular level. Using an FDA-cleared device called Celluma, the specific wavelengths of red light stimulate your cells to produce more energy, supporting cellular repair, reducing inflammation, and encouraging collagen production for healthier skin.
  • Medical QigongIt is an energy healing practice that can include or combine breathing techniques, gentle movements, meditation, and guided visualization to balance Qi flow in the body.
  • Gua ShaIt is a therapeutic practice where a specialized tool, typically made of jade or another smooth material, is gently pressed and stroked along the skin.
  • Tui NaIt is a hands-on therapy that involves a series of rhythmic compressions, stretching, and massage techniques applied along the body’s energy meridians.
  • MoxibustionThis technique involves the burning of moxa, an herb derived from the mugwort plant, either directly on or near the skin.
  • Tongue and Pulse DiagnosisTongue and Pulse Diagnosis is a non-invasive diagnostic technique used in TCM to assess the condition of your internal organs and energy pathways.
  • Cupping TherapyThis technique involves placing special glass or plastic cups on the skin to create suction, which helps lift the skin and underlying tissues to increase circulation, decrease inflammation, and promote healing.

My Certifications

Diplomate of Acupuncture

A Diplomate of Acupuncture is an acupuncturist who is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM®). It is a considerable professional achievement to earn the designation Diplomate of Acupuncture (NCCAOM). NCCAOM certification indicates to employers, patients, and peers that one has met national standards for the safe and competent practice of acupuncture as defined by the acupuncture and Oriental medicine (AOM) profession. For additional information, about the Diplomate of Acupuncture, please visit the NCCAOM Website.

NEW YORK STATE LICENSED ACUPUNCTURIST

The designation L.Ac. signifies that an acupuncturist is licensed in the state to practice acupuncture. This requires that a candidate meets the State Education requirements of a Master’s Degree level program of at least three years, including both academic classes and supervised clinical practice. The education includes the history and theory of Oriental Medicine, as well as detailed knowledge of each of the over 300 acupuncture points on the human body, their functions and combinations. In addition, the use of non-needle therapies may be employed as primary or adjunt therapies.

NCCAOM certification is a national designation, and achieved above and beyond state licensure.

*Please be aware that a certified acupuncturist is not the same as a licensed acupuncturist. Certified acupuncturists have varying levels of training which may be as little as 200 hours, depending on their primary practice. Medical doctors, chiropractors, physical therapists, medical acupuncturists and detox technicians, among others, may all be certified and practice legally.

COSMETIC REJUVENATION ACUPUNCTURE

In addition to completing requirements for New York State and NCCAOM, I traveled to Colorado to complete an extensive clinical training program, approved by NCCAOM, with Denise Ellinger, L.Ac., creator of the Cosmetic Rejuvenation Acupuncture system and co-creator of the Mei Zen cosmetic acupuncture system.

MEDICAL QIGONG PRACTITIONER (M.Q.P.)

To become a Certified Medical Qigong Practitioner, I completed a New York State Education Department approved progam with Linda Y. Qiu, L.Ac., M.Q.P., M.D.(China), in the practice of Zhineng Qigong. This training included academic/theory class as well as supervised clinical training under Dr. Qiu.
